Poverty, malnutrition, infant mortality, child marriages, child sexual abuse, illiteracy, domestic violence, spousal murder,  rape and depression – these are some of the ills plaguing our world – but most especially our country NIGERIA.

A huge percentage of these ills can be traced to harsh economic realities from the home – absent, ill-equipped fathers and/or disempowered mothers.

We believe that, a lot of these ills can be greatly reduced if women are empowered, educated and supported.

In a country like Nigeria, to a large extent, the raising of a child is still seen as a woman’s duty. The success or failure of that child is seen as the woman’s responsibility.

This is a huge responsibility to shoulder! One that most argue is an unfair burden to place on women. Whatever the argument, the truth remains that it is the current reality of our society. That is why the Woman needs as much support as she can get in order to bring her best to bear in shouldering this responsibility.

We at The Wivesroundtable Foundation believe that, empowering and supporting women is a big step towards building a better society.

Kofi Annan once said “When women thrive, all of society benefits and succeeding generations are given a better start in life”. This aptly captures the influence women have in building a better society and a better world.

This rightly captures why we are passionate about The Woman!

Our Mission

To empower women (especially indigent, vulnerable and disadvantaged women) with necessary skills and knowledge, to help them be self sufficient and provide for themselves and their families

To train and equip women with tools needed for them to excel in business and career

To provide women with easy access to coaches, mentors and counselors that will help them navigate effectively through life’s difficulties and challenges

To provide women access to basic and affordable physical and mental health services

Our Vision

To create a better world by raising whole, fulfilled and well balanced women who will allow their lights shine wherever they go

To raise women who will help to light the path of other women too

We have seen children cry incessantly, not from pain or illness, but from hunger. Many children are malnourished, out of school, sick and vulnerable because they do not have parents who could afford to give them the basics needs of life. These pains are mostly felt by the mothers of these children. No society can develop when this is the reality of the majority of its citizens
Koffi Annan right said that “The empowerment of women is the most effective tool for development”. This is why we ask that you support us by sponsoring one woman to get empowered and start on the journey towards getting out of extreme poverty
WIth 100,000 naira ($275), you get to empower one woman to start a small business AS WELL AS get trained on how to run this business properly and profitably. It’s our desire that, no woman who passes through The Wivesroundtable Foundation goes back to extreme poverty
We need your support to achieve this. Join hands with us as we work towards meeting SDGs 1, 3, 5 & 8 (No poverty, Good health & Well-being, Gender Equality & Decent work and Economic Growth)
